The third installment in Kim Miller's science fiction trilogy which was filmed on site will screen in the back gallery. In the series performative gestures address power, knowledge and a community. A live work performed for the camera, choreography comes from theater exercises, mundane activities and modern dance. The narrative unfolds through movement and occasional text. A live performance will take place during the opening accompanied by a live band and Bermuda Triangle, an illusive lounge.
Kim Miller lives and works in Milwaukee, received her BFA from Cooper Union in New York City and her MFA from Vermont College. Miller was awarded the Mary L. Nohl Individual Artist Fellowship 2009, Artist-in-Residence at Compeung, Doi Saket, Thailand in 2011 & 2012, Artist-in-Residence at Lynden Sculpture Garden in 2013-15 and a Puffin Foundation, Ltd. Grant in 2014.
