The Green Gallery is delighted to present Actual Fractals, Sculpture Milwaukee Benefit. This group exhibition is an opportunity to highlight and support the efforts of Sculpture Milwaukee as they venture forward in their future programing. The show features work from artists that are part of Sculpture Milwaukee’s exhibition program this year. The following artists have generously donated works whose proceeds will benefit Sculpture Milwaukee publishing and programing: Teresa Baker, Sarah Braman, Katy Cowan, Michelle Grabner, Pao Her, Nat Pyper, Naotaka Hiro, Anish Kapoor, Izumi Kato, Erin Sherriff, and Kim Miller.
Actual Fractals, Sculpture Milwaukee Benefit further contextualizes sculpture in public space. The gallery offers an intimate encounter with artists whose work is featured elsewhere in the city at a larger scale. This transition helps to build deeper layers of understanding into a range of conditions and ideas these artists interact with. The shift in dimensionality and sometimes media also gives breadth to the range of these artists' practices that may not be seen in a single discrete work. Join us in this opportunity to further celebrate the encounter with artworks shaping the landscape of Milwaukee on a yearly basis via Sculpture Milwaukee’s innovative programing.
